In the highlands above Olbia, Petra Segreta is located only a few minutes away from the medieval village of San Pantaleo overlooking the Gulf of Arzachena and the Maddalena Archipeligo towards Corsica. Under the direction of its owners, Luigi and Rossella, the rustic design resort is composed of a series of interconnecting, single-story "stazzi" houses of terracotta roofs and thatch awnings in the middle of a forest of Holm oak and juniper trees. Inside, a sophisticated design prevails of wide plank hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows and intricate beam ceilings. In the center of the resort is a free-form pool with views of the Costa Smeralda as well as easy access to the main lobby with its dramatic fireplace and uber-stylish terrace restaurant. An on-site Wellness Center is home to a Turkish bath, sauna, heating, Jacuzzi tubs, a fitness center, and a relaxation area of impeccable design detail.
The Room
A series of luxury and junior suite rooms are contained within period farmhouse structures featuring stone walls and native design details like pitched ceilings and rustic wooden doors. A decoration palate of rustic furnishings include chunky rattan club chairs, whitewashed four-poster beds and large furnished patios often with outdoor showers concealed behind tumbled-stone walls. Large spa-style bathrooms are lined in stacked-stone with Etro toiletries and large picture windows facing the forested resort.
